The property is located within the thirteenth-century village "Castello della Pieve", surrounded by green woods and home of hidden treasures like the small eighteenth-century church and the medieval tower. In Castello della Pieve Dante Alighieri's exile was decreed back in 1301. This historic residence is a jewel set in the heart of the Montefeltro area, not too far away from Urbino, a Unesco world heritage site. The property features a swimming pool with hydromassage and counter-current swimming.

Property description

The house has a private garden with sofas, table and chairs for outdoor dining and the pool. The main entrance is under a small lodge, where the old wood oven is ready to make you taste the wonderful local food. On the first floor, you will find the kitchen and the dining room with a large fireplace. A small hallway connects two double bedrooms and a bathroom. You will then find two additional double bedrooms, each one of them with a mezzanine and an en-suite bathroom. On the ground floor, with direct access to the garden and the pool area, there is another bathroom and the living room. The original structure is combined with the functionality of the rooms and the bathrooms with comfortable showers and handcrafted sinks in stone and crystal.

In the surroundings

A real "must" in this area is definitely having a swim in the nearby bathing river and cooling off under its natural waterfalls. If you do not feel like getting wet (although it is really worth it!), you should at least have a leisure walk along the river. If you like golfing, then the Golf Course Alpe della Luna (9 holes), inside the Natural Regional Reserve Alpe della Luna, is your place. Not too far away is also the Natural Park Sasso Simone e Simoncello. You can find shops and supermarkets not more than a couple of miles away: 'Mercatello sul Metauro' has been awarded 'orange flag' village by the Italian Touring Club.
Almost 30 km away is then Urbino, the birthplace of Raphael, Bramante, Federico da Montefeltro and admired by Piero della Francesca
