Having truffles on our table and tasting their flavor is a pleasure, but have you ever asked yourself where do they grow? Why is it so hard to find them?

Often called the diamonds of the culinary world, truffles grow underground in symbiotic relationships with trees and are quite difficult to find. As a result, they are usually harvested in the wild by trained dogs and boars.

Only some kinds of truffles are considered a delicacy and finding them is a real challenge!

Come to Acqualagna, the Truffle Capital, and get ready for an exciting truffle hunting with a professional truffle hunter and his faithful dog Fido! Trained to detect the scent of truffles, Fido will lead you through the woods to find this precious mushroom. Following him will be a real adventure: do not miss the chance to live a unique experience!

Demo truffle hunt

The truffle hunting demo lasts 1h30, it takes place in the truffle ground with our expert and his dog, together we search and collect truffles (available for purchase on site).

Trekking clothes recommended - available all year round except May.
