The house has 3 floors covering about 340 sq m. The main access is on the ground floor consisting of an elegant sitting room with sofas and fireplace, dining room, and kitchen communicating with each other and with the pergola through several French windows. A guest bathroom with an annexed laundry area, accessible from the kitchen, completes the floor. A marble staircase leads up to the first floor consisting of the main suite with a sitting area, a loft with a double bed access to the panoramic terrace (also accessible from an external staircase), and an en-suite bathroom with tub and shower. Also on this floor is a second double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower, a further double bedroom, and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds, which share a bathroom with a tub. Another twin bedroom with single beds is located on a loft on the second floor, accessible via a small wooden staircase and without an entrance door. In the garden, next to the pool, is the characteristic silo, about 6 sq m, with a small bathroom with a shower on one side and a small room with a sink on the other.
Casa Sant’Elia is set within a beautiful 4-hectare estate with a large olive grove, a small vineyard, and several fruit trees such as apples, figs, cherries, apricots, and walnuts. The garden around the house covers an area of about 3000 sq m with large areas of lawn surrounding the house and the pool, with hedges of aromatic herbs, lavender, and jasmine to delimit the spaces. The beautiful, wisteria-covered pergola, adjacent to the kitchen and dining room, will host outdoor lunches and dinners and you can enjoy cooking with the wood oven and gas barbecue at your disposal. A few meters from the house is an old silo, now transformed into a bathroom, as well as a large infinity pool and a gazebo with sofas. It will be a pleasure to stroll through the olive grove and the vineyard where, with a little luck, you may spot some of the local wildlife that populates this estate.
The panoramic infinity pool is located at a slightly lower level than the house which is about 10 m away. Measuring 6 x 12 m with a depth varying from 1,20 to 2 m, it is lined in PVC and has chlorine purification and internal lighting. The solarium is in Indian marble and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas while a gazebo with sofas is located on the surrounding lawn. There is a bathroom with a shower in the characteristic silo. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the last Saturday in October.
Casa Sant'Elia is located in the town of Filottrano, a small fortified borgo on the Musone River. It has a long history dating back to the Bronze Age and was first colonized by the Gauls and then by the Etruscans in 295 BC; there are still remains of a Gallic necropolis, together with settlements from the Bronze Age. In recent history, famous is the "Battle of Filottrano" in 1943 when a division of paratroopers of the Italian Liberation Corps, supported by Polish units, managed to take the town from the Germans. For fans of folklore and peasant traditions, Filottrano is also known for its Museo del Biroccio Marchigiano, the two-wheeled cart typical of the regions of central Italy that was normally pulled by two oxen. Nestled between the hills and Monte Conero, Casa Sant’Elia is the ideal starting point for exploring this wonderful promontory and the Regional Natural Park of the same name. Monte Conero is one of the “gems” of the Marche, a promontory on the Adriatic sea, famous for its sea with crystal clear waters and wonderful beaches. The Monte Conero Park is also nature, trails, hiking, and excursions. Another of the jewels of the Marche is certainly the Frasassi Caves, just 48 km from the villa, one of the most grandiose and fascinating underground paths in the world, with stalactites and stalagmites, centuries-old limestone concentrations of the most diverse shapes. A little over 20 km away are some of the most beautiful borghi in Italy: Cingoli, named the "Balcony of the Marche" thanks to its panoramic position in the Marche region; Recanati, the birthplace of the illustrious poet Giacomo Leopardi; Loreto, one of the main pilgrimage destinations in the world, but also a town with a view over the entire Riviera. And for food and wine lovers we are in the area of Verdicchio, "the gold" of the Marche. The wine, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, owes its name to the town of the same name (Jesi), surrounded by picturesque hills crossed by the Esino, Misa and Musone rivers. On their banks stand some of the fourteen imposing medieval castles that for centuries have defended the town, small but of great strategic value. On these rolling hills, vines coexist with olive trees, bestowing upon them the enchanting beauty painted in 1500 by Raphael, a native of the magnificent city of Urbino, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and capital (with Pesaro) of the Marche.
